The Mods were a garage rock band that existed in Toledo Ohio fomr 1963-1970. That band was founded by Terry Smith, Larry Smith and their best friend Larry Music while they were all teenagers during the 1960's. The band recorded one 45-RPM single on the Peck Record label in Toledo in 1966 after winning a battle of the bands in their hometown of Toledo, Ohio. Today copies of that 45-RPM single recording by The Mods commands prices of up to $550.00 from record collectors when one is put up for auction or sold between record collectors on Ebay.com.
Terry Smith was the lead singer and lead guitarist for the group, he and his younger brother Larry Smith who played bass guitar; co-wrote songs and shared songwriting credits for all songs released on recordings by The Mods during the mid-1960's. Both recorded by The Mods on the Peck Record label in 1966 are copyrighted with the U.S. Copyright Office at the Library of Congress and lists Larry Smith as the copyright owner.
